What is Pina-Colada?
Pina coladas are thin, light-coloured pina colas filled with a sweet pineapple filling and served in a thin, white sauce.
A few years ago, they were a popular summertime food in the US, but now the popularity has waned.
The most popular brands are Pina Branco and Pina Dulce.

Pinyon peaches are sweet, white-flowered pinyons that have been picked up from the mainland.
The fruit is commonly found in tropical and subtropical climates, and has a very soft skin.
They are a favourite in the South Pacific, but are also available as a dessert.
They’re also very tasty with fruit sauce.
The best way to eat them is in the summer when they’re fresh.
Pinyons are usually available in the supermarket or in most supermarkets in Australia.
How to prepare a Pinyoni pizza: 1.
Preheat oven to 200C.
Place a pizza stone on the bottom rack and set it aside.
In a large bowl, mix the flour, baking powder and salt.
Add the yeast and water and mix well.
Add a little oil and mix together with a wooden spoon.
Mix the sugar, cinnamon and cardamom.
Pour in the egg yolks, the egg and the lemon juice.
Add in the sugar and cook for 15 minutes.
Add flour, salt, baking soda and lemon juice to the egg mixture and stir well.
Pour the egg mix into the pizza stone and bake for 15-20 minutes.
Notes To make a pineapple pizza, place the pineapple on a baking tray and then bake for 5 minutes at 400C.
This will prevent the crust from sticking and keep the pineapple soft and crispy.
The crust can be frozen and eaten as a snack, or made into pina bread or cakes.
To make your own Pina Bread: In a bowl, add the flour and mix it well.
When the dough starts to get sticky, mix in the baking powder, baking oil and lemon zest. 3
