Taste of the year winners include a gluten-free bakery from Virginia Beach, Virginia, and a dessert bar at an Italian restaurant in Portland, Oregon.
The winners are announced Saturday night at the Taste of New York on Madison Square Garden in New York City.
In a separate category, Taste of Maine was honoring a bakery in the Portland suburb of Amherst, Maine.
The bakery, which was founded in 2009, was celebrating its 25th year of being open.
Tastes of the states included:A.B. Cooks, a bakery, a new breadmaker and new bakery in Atlanta, Georgia, is named to its third consecutive Top Chef award.
The new bread, which uses a different technique than most breads, is made by A.
B Cooks Breadworks.
Bake-Outs, a food truck that travels the country to offer fresh baked goods, won its third annual Taste and Save Food Truck of the Week award, which honors the best trucks in the United States.
The truck travels with a truckload of produce and delivers it to local farmers markets, according to the restaurant.
A new bakery is named for a woman who died in 2010 at the age of 94.
The owner, Jennifer Ruggiero, said she wanted to open her bakery because she was feeling overwhelmed by all the work that she had to do.
Baker’s Daughter, a New York-based bakery, has won three other categories.
The restaurant has won a $50,000 prize from the National Restaurant Association, and its owners, David and Joanne Fisci, are making new bakery bread that they will start baking this year.
